GDPR
Since May 25th, 2018, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27th, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) commonly known as GDPR, has been in force in the Polish legal system.
GDPR introduced new solutions in the field of personal data protection. The aim of its implementation was to strengthen the system of personal data protection and harmonize it across the entire European Union. Every entity that processes personal data in connection with their business activities is obligated to comply with the requirements of GDPR. For this purpose, they are required to have appropriate documentation describing the processes of personal data processing and to implement adequate technical and organizational measures to ensure that data processing meets the requirements of GDPR and protects the rights of individuals whose data is involved.
